“I remember dancing to “I Wanna be Your Lover” during the disco days, and to “When Doves Cry” during the days of new wave. I took my sister to see him in Houston. He had been sold out and they released what appeared to be some really good seats. When we got to the arena we realized we were seated behind the stage. We would hear him but we wouldn’t be able to see him. My sister gave me a stare of wonder that broke my heart. Once the concert started I walked with her to the other end of the Pavilion and watched the entire show standing behind the last rows that were facing the stage. A guy tried to pick my pocket, twice – but I’m a poor mark since I spent all my money for tickets to the show. Prince was the last concert I saw with my sister.
At this point in our lives neither of us would enjoy the crowds, the noise, or staying up late, but it was a great concert and I’m glad we got to enjoy it together.”
This is a Limited Edition poster of my tribute to Prince. I had many people contacting me after I first posted the picture, they all wanted to know where to get it. I decided that a poster would work really well and it is something I’ve never done before, so PRINCE would be the first artwork to ever be released this way.
The posters are a standard 13 × 19 and printed on a glossy paper. Each one will have an original signature. There is a slight watermark on the image that is only for use on the website. The posters will not include this watermark.
